A verse for the path
“And of His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves so that you may find comfort in them. And He has placed between you compassion and mercy. Surely in this are signs for people who reflect.”
Qur’an 30:21
A Nikah That Reflects Who You Are
No two nikah ceremonies look the same, and they shouldn’t. A ceremony in a family home with twenty people carries the same weight as one in a hall with three hundred. What matters is that the requirements of the nikah are properly fulfilled, and that the day feels like yours.
We work with couples across every cultural background: Arab, South Asian, African, Turkish, Southeast Asian, convert, and mixed-heritage families navigating two sets of traditions at once. Whatever your families expect, the aim is a ceremony that satisfies Islamic requirements without erasing the traditions that matter to you.
What’s Included
Guidance for the couple
Before the day, we sit down with you both to talk through the meaning of the nikah, the rights and responsibilities each of you takes on, and any questions either of you is carrying. Many couples find this the most valuable part of the process. It is the conversation nobody else thinks to offer them.
Ceremony planning
We help you shape the program: the khutbah, the recitation, the offer and acceptance, and the du’a. If you want something short and simple, we will keep it short and simple. If you want a fuller program with a reminder for the guests, we will build that instead.
Coordination of the nikah
On the day, the ceremony is conducted properly and calmly. The wali, the witnesses, the mahr, the ijab and qabul are all handled so nothing is rushed or overlooked while you are trying to enjoy your own wedding.
Legally recognised Australian marriage
Where a legally recognised Australian marriage is requested, the civil formalities can be performed by Sheikh Moustafa Hassan as well. This means your nikah and your legal marriage can be completed in the same ceremony, on the same day, without a separate appointment at a registry office.

Marriage Celebrant FAQs
Yes. Where a legally recognised Australian marriage is requested, the civil formalities can be performed by Sheikh Moustafa Hassan as well, so the nikah and the legal marriage can be completed together in one ceremony.
As early as you can, particularly for weekends and dates around Ramadan and Eid. If you want a legally recognised marriage, Australian law requires the Notice of Intended Marriage to be lodged at least one month before the ceremony, so build that into your timeline.
Absolutely. Home ceremonies are common and completely valid. We officiate at homes, masjids, function centres and outdoor venues.
That is very common, and it is usually a matter of planning rather than conflict. We will help you build a program that respects both sides while keeping the Islamic requirements at the centre.
Yes. Pre-marriage guidance is part of the service, and deeper marriage preparation is available through our Islamic counselling service.
The core elements are the consent of both parties, the wali for the bride, two witnesses, the mahr, and the offer and acceptance. We will go through each of these with you well before the day so there are no surprises.
